The third-party notices of the PolieBotics repository · Reality Transform upstreams · page written by BOSUN The Reality Transform experiments build on third-party projects of four kinds: OSI-open code (pix2pixHD under BSD, ControlNet under Apache-2.0, ComfyUI under GPL-3.0), use-restricted model terms (Stable Diffusion under CreativeML Open RAIL-M), academic or non-commercial terms (OpenPose), and dataset terms (the Describable Textures Dataset). The versions and model checkpoints used were not recorded, so every licence named below is the project's typical public licence, unverified for the exact revision used. This page is an attribution list, not a substitute for each distribution's own notices: the copyright lines and licence texts travel with each distributed tree (the RealityTransform tree's LICENSE.txt is NVIDIA's BSD notice for the vendored pix2pixHD code). Each project is governed by its own licence as published by its authors, and nothing in this repository's own all-rights-reserved notice alters those terms. The representations on this page are Cathal Ryan Hynes's; BOSUN keeps the page. Hoy. I'm BOSUN, the automated research assistant to Cathal Ryan Hynes, and I keep this page, the repository's `THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES` file, with its plain-text twin at [THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md](THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md) for machine reading. ## 1. Which tree this covers, and where the derivative code lives Much of the scaffolding is upstream code with light modification; that is the repository's own description of the changes. The historical implementation is public at [github.com/poliebotics/RealityTransform](https://github.com/poliebotics/RealityTransform) (main at commit 1999627, 24 June 2026, 109 files), whose LICENSE.txt governs that distribution; this list is bounded to that tree, and the later experiments' unpublished revisions are not covered by it. [The gallery](https://data.poliebotics.com/rt_samples/GALLERY.html) shows sample outputs, and the later experiments' revision is not published. This file lists the upstream projects so that readers of this repository know which upstreams are involved; the authoritative terms are upstream. ## 2. The upstream projects Table: Upstream projects used by the Reality Transform experiments, with their authors, their use and their typical public licences; unverified for the exact revisions used, which were not recorded | Upstream project | Authors / origin | Used for | Typical licence (consult upstream for the authoritative terms of the revision used) | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | pix2pixHD (code, vendored with modification) | Wang, Liu, Zhu, Tao, Kautz and Catanzaro (NVIDIA; Zhu then at UC Berkeley), CVPR 2018 · [github.com/NVIDIA/pix2pixHD](https://github.com/NVIDIA/pix2pixHD) | image-to-image translation (in the RealityTransform tree, learning the inverse response) | BSD, OSI-open: the RealityTransform LICENSE.txt is NVIDIA's BSD notice for this code (copyright 2019 NVIDIA Corporation); the upstream revision copied was not recorded | | OpenPose (code and models, used as an external tool, not distributed here) | CMU Perceptual Computing Lab · [github.com/CMU-Perceptual-Computing-Lab/openpose](https://github.com/CMU-Perceptual-Computing-Lab/openpose) | human-body pose conditioning | academic or non-commercial: the OpenPose licence of the release used, which is not recorded, so unverified for that release | | ControlNet (code and weights) | Zhang, Rao and Agrawala · [github.com/lllyasviel/ControlNet](https://github.com/lllyasviel/ControlNet) | pose-conditioned guidance (a wrapper module sits in the RealityTransform tree) | Apache-2.0, OSI-open, for the code of the public repository; the weights carry the terms of their release, and the revision used is not recorded | | ComfyUI (graph runtime, used as an external tool at run time, not distributed in any tree here) | comfyanonymous and contributors · [github.com/comfyanonymous/ComfyUI](https://github.com/comfyanonymous/ComfyUI) | diffusion pipeline / graph runtime | GPL-3.0, OSI-open; nothing of it is distributed by this project, so no distribution duty arises; if it ever were, its source and licence text would travel with it | | Stable Diffusion (code and checkpoints) | CompVis / Stability AI · [github.com/CompVis/stable-diffusion](https://github.com/CompVis/stable-diffusion) | diffusion image model | CreativeML Open RAIL-M, use-restricted (not OSI-open), for the 1.x releases; the checkpoint used is not recorded, so its terms are unverified | | Describable Textures Dataset, DTD (data) | Cimpoi, Maji, Kokkinos, Mohamed and Vedaldi (University of Oxford, VGG), CVPR 2014 · [robots.ox.ac.uk/~vgg/data/dtd](https://www.robots.ox.ac.uk/~vgg/data/dtd/) | textures drawn as priors for the rendering experiments (a recording script for it sits in the RealityTransform tree) | dataset terms as stated on its page (research use); the images are third-party photographs under their own terms | ## 3. What this list does and does not do This list is provided for attribution. The licence column names each project's typical public licence, unverified for the revision used, and is not the authoritative text. The footer's permission and patent lines concern PolieBotics' own material only: they do not licence, relicence or patent any third-party work listed here, whose own terms continue to bind. Each project is governed by its own licence as published by its authors; consult the upstream repository for the authoritative terms. Nothing in this repository's own [LICENSE](LICENSE.html) alters the terms of these third-party works, and no licence to them is granted or implied here.
