P.I.G.M.I.E. Filings 1, 2 and 3 · Cathal Ryan Hynes · patent pending · page written by BOSUN Reading key. Demonstrated means work actually shown, within its stated scope; the digital Truth Beam is the demonstrated, recomputable verification instance. Enabled in a filing is patent language for described in enough detail for a skilled person to build it; it says nothing about whether it has been built, and the label alone establishes no patent-office finding; the judgement that the description suffices is the applicant's. Patent pending means a filed application that remains pending. This map covers the first three numbered patent filings of the P.I.G.M.I.E. programme (the house name; P.I.G.M.I.E. Ltd is the commercial entity, and the inventor and applicant is Cathal Ryan Hynes), and the three stack. Two further Irish applications, filed on 25 August and 6 September 2026, are dated below. Filing 1 describes the instrument: a physical channel that would record light under committed controls, with a demonstrated digital instance. Filing 2 describes how a fleet of those instruments would be governed once they can act. Filing 3 turns the kernel inward, so that a specimen would become its own witness. The digital Truth Beam is demonstrated, and recomputable in the sense section 1 defines; the broader system is specified in the filings. The Filing 1 and Filing 3 entries below jump to concept cards on the site; the Filing 2 entries are named here. This map is kept by BOSUN, Cathal Ryan Hynes's automated research assistant, and its method is one reading key applied to every heading, so that demonstrated, described, proposed or conjectured travels with each name. It is written for two readers at once, the person and the person's AI: the structure is plain, every link given is a complete target, and a plain-text twin sits at [filings.md](filings.md). ## 1. What stands where Patent pending: a demonstrated digital instance, with the broader system specified in the filings. The digital [Truth Beam](https://truthbeam.com) is demonstrated and recomputable, and recomputable means this: from the published bundle at truthbeam.com anyone can re-run the published verifier over the released session frames and recompute the headline classifier from the released scores; the neural checks can be re-run from the published checkpoints, at more cost. No other item on this page carries the word. The broader apparatus is Filing 1, the runtime governance is Filing 2 and the self-witnessing specimens are Filing 3, and the three stand on different footings. Only the basic physical apparatus has been explored so far, and only to a limited extent; full integration is not the current focus. The governance is a proposed design. The self-witnessing work is enabled in the filing, with its envelope still being characterised. [Figure: The three P.I.G.M.I.E. filings as a stack: Filing 1, the Reality Kernel, an instrument that would record light under committed controls, at the base; Filing 2, Module X, the runtime governance of a fleet of such instruments once they can act, above it; Filing 3, self-witnessing specimens, the kernel turned inward so that a specimen is its own reactor and its own scene, at the top; the demonstrated, recomputable instance, the digital Truth Beam, is marked at the base] Figure 1. The three filings as a stack, a diagram of how they relate. Filing 1, the Reality Kernel, is the instrument at the base and carries the demonstrated, recomputable instance, the digital Truth Beam; Filing 2, Module X, the governance of a fleet of such instruments once they can act, sits above it, proposed, not deployed; Filing 3, self-witnessing specimens, the kernel turned inward, is at the top, enabled in the filing and patent pending. Two more Irish patent applications were filed on 25 August 2026 and 6 September 2026. They are applications, not grants, applicant-reported here with the Office's records not linked. Filings 1 and 2 are Irish applications first filed on 8 April 2026, with the newer drafts published here filed on 16 May 2026; the applicant is Cathal Ryan Hynes. Filing 3 alone carries a published Office identifier. [Figure: The Irish filings on one time line: Filings 1 and 2, first filed on 8 April 2026, with the newer drafts published here filed on 16 May 2026; Filing 3, self-witnessing specimens, filed on 3 July 2026; and Irish patent applications filed on 25 August 2026 and 6 September 2026. Applications, not grants. ## 2. Where to start For a first reading, take these five in order. The full map below then jumps to any specific concept. - [How Truth Beam works](https://data.truthbeam.com/release/how-it-works.html): the demonstrated core, with the published bundle offered so that anyone can recompute the headline classifier from the released scores. - [The Reality Kernel](https://poliebotics.com/reality-kernel.html): the instrument model Filing 1 uses and the later filings reuse, a physical channel written as a Markov kernel. - [Three regimes](https://data.poliebotics.com/regimes.html): one instrument, three specified jobs, verify, perceive or render, of which only the digital verify path is demonstrated. - [Assurance](https://data.poliebotics.com/rk-assurance.html): the account in the filing of what a forgery would cost, reported as measured hardness and not as a formal proof. - Runtime governance (Filing 2, proposed and not deployed): how a fleet of these would be bounded if they could act. ## 3. Filing 1, the Reality Kernel The instrument as Filing 1 describes it: a parameterised channel that would record light under committed controls. Demonstrated: the digital [Truth Beam](https://truthbeam.com), with its published bundle offered so that anyone can recompute the headline classifier from the released scores. Described: everything else under this heading is a described embodiment of the filing, not a built system. ### [Core and apparatus](https://poliebotics.com/reality-kernel.html) - [The Markov-kernel formalism](https://poliebotics.com/reality-kernel.html#markov-kernel) - [The scene and sealed-reactor apparatus](https://poliebotics.com/reality-kernel.html#apparatus) - [Parallel and cascade topology](https://poliebotics.com/reality-kernel.html#apparatus) - [The convolution bundle](https://poliebotics.com/reality-kernel.html#guarantees) ### [Regimes and operation](https://data.poliebotics.com/regimes.html) - [Three regimes: Truth Beam, Limager, Reality Transform](https://data.poliebotics.com/regimes.html#regimes) - [The operating-point simplex](https://data.poliebotics.com/regimes.html#regimes) - [Iris, Eve and Demeter stances](https://data.poliebotics.com/regimes.html#stances) - [Harmonia and yoked operation](https://data.poliebotics.com/regimes.html#yoked) ### [Assurance: measured hardness, no formal proof](https://data.poliebotics.com/rk-assurance.html) - [Empirical hardness](https://data.poliebotics.com/rk-assurance.html#hardness) - [Meters and meter games](https://data.poliebotics.com/rk-assurance.html#meters) - [Commitment plumbing](https://data.poliebotics.com/rk-assurance.html#commitment) - [Proof-of-discrepancy](https://data.poliebotics.com/rk-assurance.html#pod) (a filing label for a committed-discrepancy record, not a proof in the mathematical sense) - [Witness mesh and proof-of-projection](https://data.poliebotics.com/rk-assurance.html#mesh) (a filing label, likewise) ### [Embodiments and substrates](https://data.poliebotics.com/rk-embodiments.html) - [Reactor embodiment gallery](https://data.poliebotics.com/rk-embodiments.html#gallery) - [Routed physical ensembles](https://data.poliebotics.com/rk-embodiments.html#ensembles) - [Agent integration (PolieBots)](https://data.poliebotics.com/rk-embodiments.html#agents): the agent loop is named in Filing 1; its governance is Filing 2, proposed and not deployed - [Substrate lenses](https://data.poliebotics.com/rk-embodiments.html#lenses) The pages above summarise the spine of Filing 1. The rest is named, one line per concept, in [the filing atlas](filing-atlas.html), so that nothing significant hides in the territory. ## 4. Filing 2, Module X (proposed, not deployed) How a PolieBot, the filing's name for a mobile Reality Kernel that can act, would be bounded at runtime. Proposed, not deployed: every heading and name under this filing, the named layers included, is a label from a proposed design. ### Substrate and lifecycle · proposed, not deployed - Evidence-bound substrate - Lifecycle state machine - Operational gates ### Measurement and policy · proposed, not deployed - Runtime meters - Constitutional ordering - Suffering-budget objects ### Containment and authority · proposed, not deployed - Containment ladder - Separation of authorities - Graduation - Peer-discrepancy portability ### The world-builder loop · proposed names from a proposed design - Gaia, Maya and Omega - Maya modes: Iris, Eve, Demeter (the Filing 1 stance names reused, on purpose, for the postures of the simulated environment a docked agent trains in: same names, different objects) - Dream-trained conscience - Named layers: Koshas, Akashic, Tulpa, Siddhi, Ghost, Mandela ## 5. Filing 3, self-witnessing specimens The kernel turned inward. Filing 3 specifies that the specimen is its own reactor and its own scene, that one committed signature is both its identity and its measured history, and it argues that swapping the specimen would therefore sever the record. Enabled in the filing and patent pending; not demonstrated, its envelope still being characterised, and the headings below are the claims of the filing, not properties shown. ### [Identity-outcome coincidence](https://data.poliebotics.com/self-witnessing.html) - [One signature, two roles: identity and outcome](https://data.poliebotics.com/self-witnessing.html) - [Two manifolds: the filing's rule that ageing is accepted and distinguishable swaps rejected](https://data.poliebotics.com/self-witnessing.html) - [The filing's argument that substitution would sever the record](https://data.poliebotics.com/self-witnessing.html) ### [Embodiments](https://data.poliebotics.com/self-witnessing.html#embodiments) - [Cold-chain dose tag, materials ageing, forensic custody](https://data.poliebotics.com/self-witnessing.html#embodiments) - [Biobank, calibration standard, vessel self-certification](https://data.poliebotics.com/self-witnessing.html#embodiments) ### [Worked examples](https://data.poliebotics.com/self-witnessing-worked.html) - [The committed interrogation loop, step by step](https://data.poliebotics.com/self-witnessing-worked.html#loop) - [The two-manifold ageing-versus-substitution test](https://data.poliebotics.com/self-witnessing-worked.html#discrimination) - [Cold-chain dose tag, with the filing's declared numbers](https://data.poliebotics.com/self-witnessing-worked.html#cold-chain) - [Digital image correlation (DIC), one texture two roles, and vessel self-certification](https://data.poliebotics.com/self-witnessing-worked.html#dic-vessel) Status: patent pending; enabled in the filing, envelope still being characterised. Theseus's Certificate is the filing's nickname for its specimen, one whose identity and measured history travel in a single committed signature, after the ship whose planks were all replaced; the filing is authoritative. Filed 3 July 2026 at the Intellectual Property Office of Ireland (IPOI) as a Full-Term Patent application; the Office's receipt identifier, which IPOI styles a provisional application number and issues before the formal application number, is PTIE20260000000433; the claims are held, that is, not yet filed with the Office, so the claimed scope is not yet defined there; the status is applicant-reported.
